Overnight barn space available, must provide own bedding (or indicate on your entry) and clean up after show. Please indicate on entry if barn space is needed.
Saturday, May 20 between 7:00 -9:00 am
Show starts at 10:00 am Saturday, May 20
Prospect steer and heifer jackpot, followed by showmanship
All classes are open to prospect steer and heifer exhibitors, 21 years of age or younger as of January 1. Pee Wee Showmanship class offered.

$10 late fee after May 15. Entry fees are non-refundable
Exhibitors must show their own animal, unless they have multiple animals in a class, in which case they may designate another youth member to show in their place.
Steers must be weighed in during the specified time
Prospect steers are intended to be sold at a terminal market sale in the fall of 2023
Prospect heifers will be shown by age and may be registered or cross bred females
Classes will be determined after weigh in and will be posted. Depending on the number of entries, classes will be divided by weight, age and/or breed, into as equal groups as possible by show officials. The judge will determine how many from each class will compete for champion and reserve.
Animals purchased at the 2022 Dixon Land & Livestock JV Club Calf Sale are eligible to participate, no additional entry fee required.
Payout is sponsored by sale consignors: Dixon Land & Livestock JV, 4W Ranch. At least the top three placings will receive cash prizes.
Classes will be determined by age. There will be division champions in Junior, Intermediate, and Senior, following Washington 4-H standards. The judge will determine who will compete for overall champion.
A PeeWee showmanship class will be offered, free of charge.
Fitting of animals is encouraged and should be done by the exhibitor.
Exhibitors may show a steer or heifer.
Show officials will check health certificates upon arrival.
Animals may be tied in the livestock barn or at outside tie-outs, bedding is not provided.
Exhibitors are required to clean their area before leaving.
Dogs are not allowed on the fairgrounds during livestock events.
Overnight camping with power and water hook-ups is available on a first-come, first-served basis at a cost of $25/night to be paid through the Showman app or in person at the event.
Entry fees will be pooled and cash prizes will be awarded to at least the top 3 placings in the steer and heifer jackpot.
Cash prizes and/or awards will be awarded to division champions and reserves in showmanship.
